STUART ARMSTRONG is set to put a summer of speculation behind him today when he puts pen to paper on a new deal.
The Scottish International was a standout last season under Brendan Rodgers, and many feared he would exercise his right to leave for free next summer if he didn’t sign a new deal.
However, since Tuesday night the two parties have got together and thrashed out an agreement that will see Stuart continue his progress under Brendan Rodgers.
The catalyst behind the move is Armstrong’s desire to stay and the manager’s eagerness to keep him.
With the deal reportedly all but done, Celtic can now focus on other deals they hope to get over the line before the window closes in just under two weeks.
