Celtic have taken the opportunity of a Champions League game falling on the same week as the October week holidays by draping George square in green and white with free family fun in mind.

The club who will tonight host German side Borussia Monchengladbach set out free games, activities and entertainment for anyone who wanted to come join them down at George square today.

The fanzone opened at 1pm and the queue to get in was massive. Many Celtic fans and just local Glaswegians have taken the opportunity to #CelebrateCeltic this afternoon.

The day itself promotes positive experiences and helps families out who would otherwise struggle to take their kids out for the day. The Celtic fans on our social media are immensely proud of the club for doing this and we’re hoping there will be more in the future.

The fanzone is open till 5pm, giving plenty of time for anyone who’s going to the game to make their way to Celtic Park.

Some fans like to rip into the club about just anything but today everyone should applaud the efforts.

Hail Hail!
