The transfer window is almost closed, but there’s still time for Celtic to do some business.

While Celtic fans are desperate to see a defender come in before the window closes one Celtic player could be ready to move on.

Liam Henderson has found game time hard to come by and has been the subject of at least one bid this summer from Preston. However, the English clubs advances were rebuffed – Celtic weren’t happy with the terms of the deal.

Now his former loan club Hibernian are firming up their interest in the player which would see Liam move to Easter Road on a permanent basis.

Celtic are said to be holding out for 250k up front for the player with a sell on clause attached. If Hibernian get in the ballpark with Celtic’s valuation within the next few hours, then it would be solely up to Liam and his representatives to thrash out a deal with the newly promoted Edinburgh side.

Liam played a pivotal role in Hibernian’s famous Scottish Cup win and is already popular among the Hibs fans.

Is the Celtic youngster about to join Neil Lennon, the manager who gave him his first start at Celtic?
