CHRIS SUTTON was on the Premier Sports commentary team for Celtic vs Norwich on Saturday afternoon.

The former Hoops and Norwich striker took in the game between the Scottish and English side as Celtic ran out 2-0 winners.

When it came to Sutton’s man of the match, there was one man he singled out for the bhoys in green and that was Reo Hatate. The Japanese midfielder was a joy to watch!

Celtic won comfortably on the day, even after Ange Postecoglou made seven changes with around 30 minutes to go.

You get the sense we’re about to see the very best of what Reo Hatate can offer after a whirlwind first season. After playing a full J-League campaign, Reo played an extra five months with Celtic and looked exhausted towards the end of the season.

He now looks fit, ready and sharp. Celtic fans should be buzzing about the player’s potential.

Goals from Daizen Maeda and David Turnbull won the game for Celtic as they finished off their pre-season preparations with a win.

The bhoys now have 8 days to train and prepare for the start of their title defence. Aberdeen are up first on a day when the club will unfurl the league flag.

Ange wants to see his team evolve and improve, and that means setting the tone from the off. Last season, Celtic started poorly but incredibly recovered as the season went on. Going from no-hopers to Champions.
