CELTIC’s resolve was always going to be tested this summer with regards to star strike Moussa Dembele.

It now looks like it’s going to a long summer after reports circulated tonight that AC Milan are the first side to show their hand in pursuit of the Celtic star.

SKY SPORTS has reported that AC Milan have submitted a bid in the region of £25million for the French striker as their new owners look to close the gap on Juventus in Serie A.

Brendan Rodgers has always stated that he wants Moussa to stay and that the striker is a major part of his plans. Dembele has also stated that he wants to stay at Celtic for the foreseeable future but will Celtic be able to resist a bid that would blow their transfer received record out of the water.

We await confirmation of the bid.

Should Celtic sell?

  1. Hang onto him for another season he will hit another 30 to 40 goals help us in champions league ambitions then a year from now flog him to highest bidder

  2. He wants to stay according to media reports. His value will increase if we can keep him a little longer, and as a supreme Hunskelper……….keep him………….Hail Hail…………..!

  3. Celtic don’t need to sell. Moussa doesn’t want to go. So if Brendan is determined to keep him he’ll be banging them in for the Champions next season. Expect lots of inward traffic and big bids for Keiran Tierney too. But like Moussa he’s going no where. The bhoy is Celtic through and through and will be with usfor he able future.

  4. We don’t need to sell right now, he is happy within the Celtic family, Brendan and the team and himself are flourishing here and long may it continue, if there is a chafe of heart at the end of this season then aw the best, let the auction begin…

  5. You heard this where again? Ffs anything that rag can do to plant discontent in our squad they will do it

  6. NO keep him for another season if he can repeat his exploits next season and he is worth £25 million now what will he be worth then £30-£40 million.

  7. As long dembele what to stay well should keep him if he’s happy here don’t sell players if we don’t need to no matter what and how much

  8. He must stay, another season double his valuation and treble the huns envy. £500,000 into £50 million in two years pure magic and without a magic hat. Just brilliant hail hail

  9. Most important thing is,if and when he leaves,we get top dollar. If this story is true, then a bid of 25m this early in the window suggests we can hold out for well over 30. If that bid comes in and the guy wants to go then fine. Take the cash and re-invest. If he’s happy…we keep him and hopefully he enhances his value with stellar performances in the Ch.League.That’s football in the 21st century.

  10. If the kid is worth £25 million today and he can repeat his exploits of last season then his value is only going to increase If he gets a full cap for France which looks likely then we’re talking major increase in value
We won a watch well an entire jeweller’s shop actually when we picked him up for £500 thousand Let him develop under BR and let’s enjoy him and cash in on him when it suits US and we’re in the best position to do so
We signed him on a 4 year contract in 2016 so we have another 2 full seasons before he hits the final year of his contract so there’s plenty of wriggle room left
If he goes for anything north of the £25 million Milan are purportedly offering for him and he’s continued to perform for us then we’re in a win win situation and if we slap a 15 percent sell on clause on him alla Wanyama Van Dyjk Forster Johanssen et al and when he does eventually go then we’ll be laughing all the way to the J Arthur
Come on Celtic Take a stand We want to be playing with the Big Boys
Let’s act like Big Boys and not accept under valued offers for our prized assets and we play in a Duffy League as if we’re desperate and in need of hand outs because we have money in the bank and making it to CL group stages will net us at least another 20 to 30 million quid next season and if we can make it out of the group then we’ll be really quids in
This Celtic side have the makings of something REALLY special and if we can emulate the form of last season then the sky’s the limit
We won’t win the CL but who knows?
Maybe the Europa League? Remember Seville? BRING IT On!!!!

  11. put a 40m price tag on his head but only sell if he wants to leave. he has 3 years to go on his contract, but it would be better for everyone if this was cleared up quickly.

  12. More tripe Dembele is going nowhere in the near future he is a Celtic player on a 4yr contract SMSM just as usual trying to unsettle Celtic players Armstrong next

  13. No hope 2 more seasons hit his hundred goals he’s going to just think 2 more years and full international value would be sky high Celtic no need to sell lets hope
