Right, who’ll admit they keep thinking about this weekend’s Glasgow Derby instead of tonight’s League Cup tussle against Dundee at Dens Park?

Well, it’s OK bhoys and ghirls –  It’s no surprise, considering last season’s many amazing moments during the fixture we missed during Sevco’s glory years against the likes of Forfar and Albion Rovers. (no offence to The Loons or The Rovers!)

When my thoughts start to wander to the weekend, I’m quickly reminded of the Scottish Cup final and Tom Rogic’s one man mission to secure the treble capping off the most incredible of seasons.

With that in mind, we can’t forget that the defence of the League cup is also the defence of our treble.

A convincing win tonight will be the positive note on which to go into Saturday’s game. Ross County were reminded of the task at hand even after a heavy European defeat that Celtic are still the benchmark. It always amuses me when opposition teams talk before the match about how much they’re up for the challenge of beating Celtic – they almost manage to convince themselves that it’s easy to do. Neil McCann will try and convince his side it’s possible, it’s up to Celtic to slam that particular door in his face.

Celtic are The Invincibles for a reason, not just because of the talent on show, but because the team works incredibly hard under Brendan Rodgers to always be better.

So, on that positive note, let’s get that win tonight, keep this year’s treble on track, then we can really look forward to more of last season’s form in the Glasgow Derby
