Vinicius Souza has recently updated his profile on social media which could be an indication where his next move will be.

The 23-year-old midfielder is currently contracted to Lommel SK who became the ninth club owned by the City Football Group in May 2020.

With there being much speculation around his future, the player has recently updated his Instagram to show that he is a Manchester City player, a possible mistake where he was meaning to show his connection to the City Group. [Record Sport]

This link could be crucial in understanding where this move could possibly go. Under the model of the company, there still may be an interest from within the organisation to develop the player with Celtic possibly being considered an option.

There has been a number of benefits which the City Group have given to Celtic over the years with loan players such as Jason Denayer, John Guidetti and Patrick Roberts as well as our current boss Ange Postecoglou who departed Yokohama F. Marinos to make the trip to Glasgow.

Our most recent addition has came in the form of Mark Lawwell is considered a major player within the organisation which could potentially mean a deal could still well be done.

However, it is important to reiterate that we all have a grasp of Ange’s character now and he will not hang around for anyone. If there is any doubt cast on the part of Souza, Celtic will move on and look at the next target.
