Moritz Jenz has taken to Instagram after signing for Celtic and gave one man at Parkhead a special thank you.
With a season long loan in the bag, Moritz made a point of thanking the current Celtic chief executive Michael Nicholson for making the deal happen.
The German defender seems genuinely delighted to be a Celtic player. The defender’s enthusiasm surpassing all the usual platitudes given out when a player joins a club.
Moritz revealed he wanted to sign for Celtic last season, but the deal didn’t happen. Instead he moved to France with Lorient. Things didn’t work out with the Lihue 1 club, but it’s now paved the way for a move to Celtic.
If he plays with the enthusiasm he’s shown on the day he’s signed, Jenz will be a success!
We could get a first glimpse of the defender as fans on Saturday when Norwich come to town. Before that’s Celtic are in Poland to take on Legia Warsaw.
Michael Nicholson’s transfer record and ability to get deals done quickly has Celtic fans mightily impressed at this stage. Hoops supporters are also suspicious of custodians of the club and many times that suspicious has been warranted. At the moment, Michael is doing a great job on the transfer front.
