REPORTS down south this morning claim that Neil Lennon is looking to raid his former club for one of his old players.
The player in question is James Forrest.
Neil has a very soft spot for James, bringing him through the youth ranks to the first team where the youngster has excelled at times. In the past two seasons he has been hampered by injury and has rarely featured for the team on a regular basis. Just when he seems to get going he goes out with another niggle that keeps him side-lined for a prolonged period of time.
There’s no question the bhoy has got talent but does he have the legs or will he ever have consistent fitness to be able to stake his claim as a regular? It remains to be seen.
However it seems Lenny wants to take a chance on the bhoy he took a chance on once before as he looks to propel his Bolton side up to the upper echelons of the Championship. His current deal runs out next year and if Celtic are looking to offload then this would be the time to do it.
From what we’ve seen last season though it seems Ronny Deila rates the midfielder, putting him back into his team whenever possible.
We suspect this wont be the last player Neil and Bolton are linked with who ply their trade in the East End of Glasgow. So Neil, could we interest you in an Ambrose or Mulgrew?
