Former Celtic midfielder Paddy McCourt has signed for Brighton & Hove Albion on a 1 year deal.
Paddy who has a natural footballing talent has the most unnatural footballing fitness which dogged him throughout his Celtic career.
After leaving Celtic last summer he linked up with Barnsley but was let go at the end of last season but now hopes he can help Brighton move up that Championship table.
Brighton manager Sami Hyypia was happy with his newest signing.
We have seen enough of Paddy in the last week or so to know that he is a player who has quality going forward” said the former Liverpool man.
“Paddy is a player who sees the right passes, at the right time, and I hope he can help us in terms of creativity going forward and to help make some chances for us.”
Many Celtic fans turned him into a cult figure while he was at Celtic but apart from the odd bit off absolute genius he never could play a team game well.
We wish him all the best with Brighton this season and hope to see that little bit of genius shine through.
