With Celtic closing in on six in a row we look at a snapshot of the Brendan Rodgers story so far and it makes for impressive reading.

Only five losses against four teams in all competitions so far, all coming in Europe –

Lincoln Red Imps, Barcelona(x2), Borussia Monchengladbach, Hapoel beer Sheeva

Who knew a defeat to a part time Gibralter side in Rodgers first match would be one of only five times they would’ve been beaten as we head into April. Two defeats to Barcelona is never something anyone should be ashamed of. The BMG match at Celtic Park is probably where many fans thought we’d be able to at least avoid defeat but the Germans deserved their win last night, Celtic unlucky not to win in reverse fixture. Hapoel defeat came after Celtic won the first leg 5-2 at Celtic Park which ultimately got them through to the Champions League group stages.

In the league, only two draws and zero losses has seen Celtic DOMINATE domestically, so much so that the last club to draw with us celebrated like they’d won the lottery and Champions League all in one day.

Domestically our record reads

36 matches, 34 wins, 2 draws.

  • 100 goals scored.
  • 19 goals conceded.
  • 22 clean sheets.

With one trophy already in the bag, the league title on the way and a semi-final to look forward to it’s a great time to be a Tim.
