BRENDAN RODGERS once again thanked the Celtic fans for their support of Scott Sinclair after telling the media the player was ‘blew away’ by the support shown by the fans.

After a tough few weeks for the midfielder, being subjected to some vile racist abuse not just at Ibrox but online – it was going over to the Celtic fans with Kieran Tierney at the end of the St Johnstone game that really moved the Englishman and all but confirmed how much this place has become home.

Speaking about the moment Scotty held up the ‘Love Celtc, Hate Racism” shirt the Celtic boss spoke of solidarity.

“It was a wonderful symbol of solidarity, not just from Celtic but from Scotland.” said the Irishman

“I know he was touched by it in the changing room afterwards so it was a lovely gesture by the supporters.”

Scott has been on fire for Celtic this season and has won both Celtic’s player of the year as well as the PFA player of the year award. The talisman has recently told Celtic he’s going nowhere in the next transfer window, much to the supports delight.
