The January transfer window is two weeks away and the rumour mill is gaining momentum as we get set to enter 2015.

The latest player to be linked with a move to Celtic is Scotland International Ikechi Anya. The Watford midfielder has gained many admirers, especially when pulling on a Scotland jersey and it’s being reported that Celtic are one of those admirers.

The 26 year old is entering the last 18 months of his contract and Celtic are said to be monitoring his situation down south. It’s no secret Ronny Deila wants to strengthen his midfield options and Ikechi could prove a popular choice.

Celtic have two massive games against Inter Milan coming up in February and the manager is very keen to see new faces come in to help down the Italian giants.

Celtic are already active ahead of this window, they’re currently speaking to John Guidetti’s agent about a permanent deal for the Swedish striker. If they could pull that off and get another few capable bodies through the door then anything is possible.

One man who looks set to leave though is Kris Commons. He’s being used sparingly by the Celtic boss and has stalled signing a new contract with the club. His current deal runs out in June of next year. There is speculation he could link up with former Celtic manager, Neil Lennon at Bolton.
