Ronny Deila seen his team go within touching distance of the top of the table on Saturday night thanks to a John Guidetti goal and Lukasz Zaluska’s stoppage time heroics.

Celtic now sit 3rd in the table behind Dundee Utd and Hamilton with a game in hand.

Before the last international break Celtic were toiling, getting beaten by Hamilton at Celtic Park sent a lot of fans over the edge. Since then he has started proving his doubters wrong by picking up winning his last 5 games in call competitions – In those 5 games Celtic have scored 17 goals and only conceded 2.

Next up for Celtic is an away trip to play FC Astra in the Europa league. Celtic made hard work of the Romanian outfit in the first leg at Celtic Park and know they will have to play better to get an away win this time round.

Having had a bad start to the season it would amaze many that Celtic sit at the top of their Europa group after 3 fixtures. The performances may have not come in this competition yet but the results have and that is half the battle.

If Celtic can come away with 3 points in Astra and can then go to Pittodre on Sunday and do the business it will be hailed as a major turning point. Although he isn’t eligible for Europe, with guys like Guidetti in your team you always have a chance.
