Celtic Captain Scott Brown was left behind in Austria by his teammates last night after the player was chosen for a routine drugs test after the 2-2 draw against Salzburg.

Celtic had a 10:55pm flight back home to Glasgow so the team can quickly prepare for Sunday’s game against Motherwell but Scott could not make the flight in time and had to spend the night in Austria.

Celtic officials says the midfielder will fly back to Glasgow at some point today to link up with his teammates.

Scott scored Celtic’s second goal against Salzburg last night and was pivotal in the team coming away with the draw.

We hope Scott enjoyed the extra night in Austria and that he put the mini bar tab on Peter Lawwell’s account!
