NEXT SEASON Celtic will compete in the Champions League group stages for the first time since 2017/18 when Brendan Rodgers was the manager.

It’s a reward for the players’ hard work in the 2021/22 season, winning the league in what was supposed to be a write off-season is quite impressive. Especially when The Rangers were said to have won the league in October.

The UEFA Champions League have confirmed the dates for this year’s tournament. The games played in a smaller space of time due to the World Cup at the end of the season.

Postecoglou will look to strengthen his squad in the summer, adding to the quality and depth to his side to compete with Europe’s elite teams.

Getting into the group stages gives Celtic a huge cash injection, from competition money to sponsorship bonuses.

The final will be played in Istanbul on the tenth of June. It’s unlikely that Celtic will reach this stage, but Postecoglou’s brand of football gives Celtic fans the right to dream.
