Glasgow’s Newest Irish bar – The Irish Rover is quickly becoming the place to be for Celtic fans!

The bar situated in the heart of Sauchiehall street opened its doors less than two months ago and it has already earned rave reviews, for their warm welcome, their entertainment and of course their VERY competitive prices for when it’s your turn to get a round in.

Not resting on their laurels after having Chris Sutton help open the bar in August, the Irish Rover is set to welcome more Celtic legends to the bar, giving fans a unique experience of watching Champions League football with players who have been there and done it.

Frank McAvennie will be in the bar for the Anderlecht game next week, so if you want to pick Frank’s brain or ask him ‘where the birds’ are then make sure you get along which is sure to be a memorable evening watching Brendan and the bhoys.

Not only that, but they have the bold Bobby Petta in the bar for Celtic’s glamour tie with Bayern Munich on the 18th October. Bobby played in many a European nights for the bhoys and now you can watch Celtic try to tame Bayern while having a pint with the dutchman.

Before all that though, there’s a small matter of a Glasgow Derby this weekend that conveniently coincides with the September weekend. Irish Rovers have FOUR days of live bands and entertainment for everyone from Friday to Monday and will be showing the game for those not lucky enough to have a ticket for Ibrox – doors open sharp at 11am! FREE ENTRY all weekend. They have recently installed a brand new air conditioning system so you can enjoy your drink in comfort.
