JAMES FORREST has rewritten the record books after a sensational night at Hampden.

Scotland beat Israel 3-2 on the night with all three goals coming from the on-form Celtic star.

With that hattrick, Forrest becomes the first Celtic player to get three goals in a game since Jimmy Quinn over 100 years ago; 110 to be exact.

Forrest has been unplayable and his club form has emphatically spilt over into international duty where he has saved the day for Scotland boss Alex McLeish.

The Celtic star has now scored 12 goals in the last eleven games for club and country and shows no signs of letting up.

This can only be good news for Celtic as they get set to hit an eleven game run before now and the end of the year.

If Forrest can keep this going, he could be the difference make when it comes to Euro qualification past Christmas and landing another league Cup trophy.

It’s an exciting time to be a Celtic fan and for once a Scotland fan as the wee man has given the whole Tartan Army a big shot in the arm.
