CELTIC fans have reacted to transfer gossip thrown out by RecordSport today ahead of Celtic’s important tie with Aberdeen on Sunday.
The paper claims Kristoffer Ajer has been put on a list of defensive targets in January by Brendan Rodgers at Leicester.
It’s the old thing of linking a player away from the club to go link up with their old boss. There were never ending stories about players who played under Rodgers coming to Celtic and barring Sinclair and De Vries we didn’t see any of that.
Ajer is a top defender on his day but is currently going through a shaky spell where his confidence seems to be hit.
Many Celtic fans know the game and that Celtic will eventually sell their best assets down the road, for hopefully big money. With that in mind – this rumours has been met with a more pragmatic approach by some who would like to see Celtic do a swap deal.
Benkovic has been injured but now he is back fit and looking for game time there’s no space for him in the Leicester team – the player could go out on loan this January and many Celtic supporters would like him back. A great player if he stayed injury free.
