Vasilis Barkas is NOT interested in a return to Greece this summer according to Greek journalist Giannis Chorianopoulos.

The player has been linked with a loan move back to his old club AEK or just a move back to his home country in general. [Record Sport]

That notion has been shot down today and Giannis also confirming parkas still believes he can make the breakthrough at Celtic and that’s what’s driving him at the moment.

It will all hinge on the new manager letting Barkas know what his position will be in the squad come next season.

It’s admirable the goalkeeper wants to stay and show what he can do. He will know to this point he hasn’t been good enough but he might feel aggrieved he hasn’t had as many chances to shine as Scott Bain.

Many Celtic supporters have already wrote the player off and hope Celtic will sign a better option in the summer.
