Celtic flop Vasilis Barkas has reportedly let the club know he wants to move on this summer after a disastrous two year spell at the club.

FootballScotland reports the player is now actively seeking a way out of Parkhead.

CeltsAreHere understands Barkas has been reluctant to move on. At the beginning of this season, the goalkeeper wanted to try his luck under Ange but he’s only started two games under the Hoops gaffer.

While not pushing for a move before now – Barkas was said to be receptive to the right offer if it came in. However, the Greek goalies stance has become much more open when it comes to leaving Glasgow.

There’s absolutely no chance of a turn around in his Celtic career now and it’s best for all conferences if Barkas does move on.

The big question is – where will he go and will Celtic recoup any of the £5m they paid for the stopper?

It’s likely much if his transfer fee will have to be written off.
