SCOTT SINCLAIR has not yet been told if the contract extension clause in his contract will be invoked by the club before the end of the season.

The midfielder’s contract runs out at the end of next season but the bhoys have an option for an extra year they can activate keeping the player at the club for the ten in a row tilt.

If the club decided against activating the extension, then the midfielder could be sold this summer.

Sinclair has told Celtic fans numerous times he’s happy at the club and wants to stay as long as possible. With the man who made him a star at Swansea and brought him to Celtic, Brendan Rodgers no longer in the post, it does raise the question if Sinclair would like to stay and play under the new regime.

He has done nothing to make us think he wouldn’t want to stick around.

Sinclair has been a massive part of Celtic’s success over the past two and a half years, he was unplayable in the invincible season with last term the midfielder, not fairing as well but still getting among the goals. This season we have seen some real quality come to the forefront again and the Englishman has started the last two games under Neil Lennon.

Scotty is one of the highest paid players at Celtic and was brought in for around £3.5million you would have to think if the club does try and move him on it’s a financial decision.

  1. Scotty Sinclair has quality and very much deserves to be kept at Celtic.
I will be a very happy bhoy if he stays. He is not an attention seeker and is one of our most important players and never hides.
To me, it is a no brainier. He must stay.
