The Hoops were impressive, as they maintained their nine-point lead at the top of the SPFL, but the match didn’t lack it’s controversy, with many talking points coming from it.

VAR and Robertson.

After he awarded Dundee United a foul for tripping over the ball, we all knew it was going to be a long afternoon. He then halted play when Celtic was in a threatening position because a Dundee United player was winded.

But things got worse for Celtic. The side was awarded a penalty after Kyogo took a fist to the head while being sandwiched and pushed. However, after Robertson was told to take a look at VAR, he changed his mind.

For Celtic’s penalty, it should’ve been seen in real-time. But, after he watched VAR, he decided it was a penalty. It was a stonewaller. However, even when he got the decision right, he got it wrong. Freeman should’ve seen his second yellow card of the game for what looked to be a deliberate handball, but he wasn’t.

Postecoglou Reaches 50th Premiership Win.

Ange Postecoglou recorded his 50th win in the SPFL in 61 games, the second fastest a manager has ever done so. Martin O’Neil is just in front of the Aussie, getting to the milestone two games quicker with 59. It’s a great achievement for the manager, especially after the start he had in the SPFL when he first joined Celtic.

Oh, Yeah!

When Oh was introduced to the game, he looked very good. He wasn’t afraid to be physical and moved quickly around the pitch. He nicked the ball a few times and put a terrific cross into the box that Daizen Maeda should’ve finished.

He’s different to Kyogo and Giakouamkis, and it will be interesting to see how he kicks on after a successful first appearance for the Hoops, albeit it was just a 10-minute cameo.

  1. Robertson isn’t fit to referee a school boys game. Inept is nearly true, but in real terms he’s a f@nny. An erse kisser for his favourite team. To wear the refs costume is a mockery of what he should be doing.
Him and Collum are a right pair of CHEATS – BIGOTS and VAR shows that?
