Jack Hendry was flying to Australia on Sunday to complete a move to Melbourne City [Read Here] it looks like Celtic might just be getting another player out the door before too long.

According to HLN, Belgian side Genk are about to sign Eboue Kouassi on loan for the rest of the season and claim the midfielder is already in Belgium ahead of the move.

Eboue has not made the grade at Celtic, looking erratic on the field during the chances he did get in the side. When Eboue’s opportunity to play a run of games last season came along with Scott Brown out injured, he himself tore his ligaments and was out for a year.

Neil Lennon has come in since and seen no value in bringing the midfielder into the fold.

It appears as if he will head out to the Belgian League before the end of the week.

This will go down as an expensive mistake by Celtic and one of the pitfalls of having to operate in this market. According to transfermarkt, Celtic paid £3.15m for the player under Brendan Rodgers.
