You would be forgiven if you’ve forgotten about Eboue Kouassi but the player has not been seen since his unfortunate ACL injury which prematurely ended his Celtic season last term.

It was the game against Hearts at Murrayfield where the player would pick up the injury and have to sit on the sidelines. Since then, the player has been working hard to recover from the injury. Like Daniel Arzani who was injured around the same time with the same kind of injury – Eboue has been back training but there are no signs of a Celtic revival as of yet.

Neil Lennon has been silent on the player thus far and not many fans have been banging the drum for the £3.15m (TransferMarkt) signing to get game time.

Football Insider claim the midfielder could be set for a January Parkhead exit with Panathinaikos monitoring his situation.

Lennon tried to bring in a central midfielder this summer but was thwarted when trying to sign David Turnbull. Kouassi could try and train his way into getting some game time with the Hoops and prove Neil Lennon he’s worth keeping around.
