According to reports in Greece, Panathinaikos are weighing up a move for Celtic’s £3million man Eboue Kouassi.

SDNA report the Greek giants will fly into the UK next week to talk about the Celtic midfielder’s availability for the coming season.

Kouassi joined the Hoops in Jan 2017 from FC Krasnodar on a £3m deal but has only featured 22 times for the bhoys since then.

The player suffered a season ending injury back in October against Hearts in the semi-final of the League cup and has not been fit enough to feature since.

With Neil Lennon looking to bring in a central midfielder the club could look to either send Eboue out on loan or cut ties with the player altogether.

Usually, if you have only played 22 times in two years for the club you would be considered a flop but between injury and circumstance, Eboue has not had a fair crack of the whip.

However, in the games he has played, he hasn’t shown too much to get fans excited.

Could he be another Rodgers signing that’s cut from the squad?
