One of the finest set piece takers the Scottish Champions have ever seen, Shunsuke Nakamura is still going strong at the age of 41 and has just signed on with Japanese side Yokohama FC!
Naka left Celtic ten years ago when he moved on a free to Espanyol at the age of 31. Who knew ten years later he’d still be playing professional football.
This might not be a surprise to any of Nakamura’s former teammates who have acknowledged in the past his training and fitness regimes over the years have been on a different level.
The midfielder has prolonged his career greatly with how he manages his body and it doesn’t hurt that he can still strike a football as well as he could when he left Van der Sar picking the ball out the back of his goal.
The player was an icon at Celtic and will be remembered for some outstanding individual efforts. Pieces of magic you rarely see at Celtic Park these days!
