The news over the weekend surrounding Scott Brown’s future prompted us to put out a poll on what Celtic should do in the case of our legendary captain.

There’s no doubt this midfielders influence on the pitch is diminishing and next season, if he stays, it will continue to diminish.

However, is there an argument for keeping him at the club to help facilitate the new and old guard?

The rumours of a move to Aberdeen to take on a player/coach role has people talking but Scott still sees himself as having a decent part to play on the pitch.

Our poll was simple, should Celtic sign Broony on a new player only deal for next season.

So 54% of people polled either believe it should be the end of the line for Brown at Celtic or at least the end of his playing days at Parkhead. The rest believe there should be a new deal on the table and the captain should get the chance to help win back the title.

It’s interesting and quite divisive, I’m sure the same poll on different social media platforms could skew in favour of a Brown stay.

There are so many decisions to be made between now and the start of next season and Broony’s future is just one of them.

Given the size of the support, it’s very hard to reach a consensus but right now we don’t even have the people in place to bring this issue to a resolution.
