TONIGHT’S game takes place in Paisley in a rare Friday night showdown the fans can enjoy.
There are traditional supporters who always believe that games should be played on Saturday at 3pm as much as possible.
However, TV dictates when Celtic will play most of the time and the BT Sports crew pencilled St Mirren vs Celtic clash for a Friday evening kick off.
When Celtic have played games on Friday nights in the past – I can’t speak for everyone but I’ve always felt the atmosphere just had that little bit more of an edge than a Saturday early afternoon kick off.
Whether I’ve been at the game or watching on TV, a game under the lights before the deep dark days of the winter come makes way for a special feel.
We put the question out there earlier this week. Would fans be in favour of more Friday night away days?
The majority of the fans polled were for it.
With 1686 votes cast it came out 72% yes, to 28% no.
St Mirren vs Celtic will take place on Friday Night 19:45 KO.
Would you be in favour of more Friday night away days?

There’s always going to be logistical problems with some fans unable to attend because of work etc.
However, going forward if Celtic were to get more games on a Friday night, I wouldn’t be complaining.
Right now I’ll settle for a raft of Thursday nights through to May
Judging by our performance in the 1st half here,no more Friday nite games ?…. very poor from the Hoops so far and absolutely daft from Ollie….
