It’s been nearly two weeks since Eddie Howe was tipped to take over at Celtic Park but we’ve had absolutely nothing since then.
Celtic fans are not known for their patience and the wait for a new manager is certainly stretching their resolve to the limit.
If it’s not Eddie Howe then who is it going to be?
While we would like to see the Englishman take the club forward, we can’t wait forever.
Respected and well connected journalist Alan Nixon was asked about the Howe situation on social media and he was blunt about the delay.

This is the biggest thing that has surprised me. Since two weeks ago, we’ve heard very little about any other candidate. All roads have led to Howe.
Are they waiting to unveil the manager on a certain date? Are they sorting out personal terms and a backroom team before announcing Howe?
Or are they affording the former Bournemouth manager the time to make a decision at the risk of losing other candidates?
Time will tell but the clock to next season is well and truly ticking.
It’s as if everyone connected with this saga is playing mind games with each other and the Celtic fans, that’s not fair to the fans, as they are the ones who keep the club afloat. And seem to care about the club than the board and their followers.
