A more significant blow for Celtic as we wake up on Wednesday morning is the reports Callum McGregor is still struggling with an injury and is in a race against time to even be fit for the Glasgow Derby.

The midfielder has played over 50 games for Celtic already this season and was Brendan Rodgers star player for the most of the season. McGregor played no part in Brendan Rodgers final game in charge against Motherwell at the weekend because of injury and it now looks like it will rule the player out as Neil Lennon makes his return to the dugout.

John Kennedy took the team for training yesterday and has apparently picked the team for the Hearts game this evening. A pivotal match where Celtic players and fans need to get over and win the game to ensure their momentum is not lost.

The game kicks off at 19:45 and all eyes will be on the club who start their first game in over two and a half years without Rodgers at the helm but as we say not having McGregor to call upon is the bigger blow.
