Celtic are at a crossroads in the next transfer window. There is up to eleven players who could leave in the summer with contracts expiring and loan deals ending.
One player whose contract is close to the end and still wants to stay at the club is Mikael Lustig. The Swede has expressed a desire to stay at the club for as long as they want him. There’s a one-year contract extension available to Celtic which would keep Lustig at Celtic Park for one more season.
While the club is still considering their options we asked the fans if they’d like to see Celtic take up the contract extension and there was a clear majority.

The comments underneath out thread suggest there are passionate opinions on both sides of this debate.
I don’t think there’s a lot of people who want to see Mikael sign on again to be our number one right back for another season but there’s an appetite to keep him at the club to play a role next season, even if it isn’t a leading role.
