It has been speculated all week that Neil Lennon was planning to change things up for his teams clash against Clyde at Broadwood today in the Scottish Cup. With the Bhoys back to playing three games a week today’s fixture was thought to be the perfect game for the Celtic boss to rest some stars and give others some game time.

On the flip side, Celtic have won three trebles in a row and doubts may creep into Lennon’s team plans, he wouldn’t want to lose out on another treble to league one side. The Bhoys are also on a run of 33 consecutive domestic cup wins. They have bagged 19 goals in their six games since the winter break.

The Hoops manager had already vowed to make some changes for today’s game but said he wouldn’t overdo it. With the likes of Ryan Christie, Tom Rogic and Elyounoussi all waiting for starts in 2020 it is not like Celtic will be fielding a weakened team. New signings Ismaila Soro & Patryk Klimala will be eager for an opportunity to prove themselves.

With the teams just out Lennon may have made more changes than anyone expected. Bain returns in goal while Bauer, Bolingoli, Christie and Elyounoussi all get a start. Patryk Klimala gets his first start for the Celtic.

The Celtic bench is also of interest with Soro, Shved & Bayo itching for some game time.
