Celtic were far from at their best on Thursday night but the media focus appears to be firmly on our striker Odsonne Edouard. The Frenchman who has won big games and trophies for the club during his time hasn’t looked his sharp self but that can be said about a lot of the players.
However, Peter Martin chose to have a go at Edouard on the night above all other players who are off the boil.
The narrative in the Scottish media is clear; let’s keep pushing the idea of an Edouard Transfer.
Close call for #CelticFC Edouard is a man down. Frimpong, the only player who can take someone on. A winger and a left back wouldn’t go amiss. Great result for #Rangers and sadly, Dons and the ‘Well continue this poor record of qualification.

You could easily name five or six players who were pedestrian on the night for Celtic so to pick out Edouard is unfair. No, the striker wasn’t at the races but we have to take the bad with the food.
Right now, Eddy’s immediate future looks at Celtic BUT things can change quickly and we all know that. Do we think he’s having a stinker because he isn’t trying? No we don’t.
As Celtic performance go, it was a horrible watch and the only shining light was Jeremie Frimpong who continued to harass the Riga back line until we got the breakthrough.
Fast Eddie looks like he.s in the wrong movie and not enjoying his time at all
This is about more than one or two players. Its deeper than that
Get Patrick Roberts back ASAP.
Lots of rank rotten performances for a while now.
The players look like the just dont buy into Lennons baffling ‘tactics’ and constant changing of personel and experiments with players out of their best positions.
Lenny looks a picture of abject misery most of the time too…no doubt he loves the club, but i don’t believe he’s loving the job.
Players are starting to look as depressed as he is…but for the enforced substitution of Forest and wee Frimpongs enthusiasm,i believe we’d be out on our arses again last night.
This team needs a hard-reset and freshened up in several areas..starting with Turnbull.
He’ll add the missing dynamism from midfield…if Lennon lets him loose to do his thing.
