In an absolutely pointless act last night someone has brought a lot of unwanted attention onto the club. Someone thought it was a good idea to throw a banger onto the pitch after Ryan Christie put Celtic up by two goals.
The St Mirren keeper hit the deck holding his ear. It looked like he might have been struck by the firework but replays showed the object went off over 20 yards away but it still caused the goalkeeper some sort of distress. It doesn’t actually matter how close the object was, all that matters is someone has filled air-time and newspapers with bad press about Celtic.
Chris Sutton seemed fuming more than anyone last night, he wanted a life ban for the culprit and said they were not Celtic fans.
Celtic comfortable tonight 2-0… Weah exciting and good to see Christie back who brought real energy Celtic have missed?? However Scottish football this season has had a nasty undercurrent in the stands and the moron who threw the firecracker isn’t a true fan of Celtic…

Neil Lennon had to use some of his post-match interview to tell fans that pyro-technics have no place at football games.
