It’s hard to talk up the positives after dropping more points this weekend but the two goals to bring the game back were obviously the highlight.

We have to give a pat on the back to both Odsonne Edouard and Deigo Laxalt; particularly the latter, for smashing the ball home.

Eddy helped win and then took the penalty if he felt under pressure with the clock ticking down and the two-goal deficit, he didn’t show it. It was a fantastic penalty from the Frenchman who had not long entered the fray.

Then Diego’s goal, what a hit for a left-back. It’s not just the hit, it was the stopping the ball dead from the cross and having the ability to put his foot through it and put us back on level terms.

Shane Duffy’s presence on the pitch actually helps Diego out immensely, the Irishman pulls three men with him leaving Diego standing himself when the ball comes through, he gives Hibs players no chance of getting back across to shield the shot because the Uruguayan hit it so quickly.
