Celtic supporters appear split over the latest transfer rumour surrounding the club.

Over the weekend, it was reported Lyndon Dykes was a target for the Scottish champions or at least a player of interest as the club look to strengthen their squad. Read more here.

The Livingston striker made a name for himself last season against Celtic, particularly in the two games away to Livi. The frontman has done well but is he good enough for Celtic?

Some supporters think he’s an in your face striker and would be welcome at Celtic as something a bit different. Others believe the move would be more like signing a Nadir Ciftci.

When we put it to our Facebook followers, it was certainly a top discussion point.

Dykes has his strengths but it remains to be seen if the step up to a club like Celtic would work.

Livingston want a decent fee £2m (MailSport) for their striker and with Celtic currently having four forwards on their books, is it really worth the bother?

  2. I thought that’s why Celtic bought Paddie Kimata from Poland. Not seen much of him either. Box penitration that’s what he, James Forrest, Griffo Wee titch the flying wing back and Marian do. Only seen James Forrest do that constantly.
