SKY SPORTS is claiming tonight Celtic are now in talks with Australian midfielder Aaron Mooy over a deal to bring him to the Scottish Champions.
Anthony Joseph has wrote on Sunday evening the Hoops are in talks with the former English Premier League star after he ripped up his contract with Shanghai Port.
Mooy and Ange know each other very well and when Ange was asked about the player earlier this week, the Celtic gaffer didn’t give much away.
Rumours of a potential move for Mooy have always been there. His family is based in Glasgow.
Mike McGrath of the Telegraph Mooy is closing in on a ‘dream move’ to Celtic.
Aaron is now 31, it’s been a long time since he came over from Melbourne City to Manchester City where he was used as a commodity before being sold to Huddersfield for around an £8m fee.
Mooy played with Brighton until 2020 before moving to China after a lucrative offer emerged. The Hoops now look in pole position to sign him.
Would he add experience to this Celtic squad?
