AARON MOOY was a standout in Australia’s 1-0 win over Tunisia. The Celtic player started in midfield alongside former Hoops man Jackson Irvine, as the country took a step towards qualifying for the next round of the tournament.

To qualify, Arnold’s side need France to beat Denmark in the later kick off on Saturday, while getting a result against the country on Wednesday, in what should be an evenly matched game.

Mooy played the full ninety for his country, and was a key man for the country pulling the strings in attack while remaining solid defensively. It really was just a top-class display from the player.

His numbers were impressive too, just have a look at these.

Mooy signed a one year deal with Celtic in the summer, with the option to extend it for a further year. As things stand, you’d assume that Aaron will be pulling on the green and white Hoops next season.

He’s been a great player this season, and had proved many of his doubters wrong.
