WHEN Nir Bitton’s Celtic exit was confirmed, many Celtic fans wondered how young Liel Abada felt. He was close with Bitton, with the pair embracing the father/son relationship supporters said they had.

Abada had gone through a challenging time, from splitting up with his partner to his good friend, role model and teammate departing the club. It’s well known that Nir had helped Liel settle into life in Scotland, and he was great to have around for his debut season in a foreign country.

Liel has revealed that he’s close with Joe Hart and that the English keeper is always looking out for him.

Telling Ynet, Abada opened up on a classy Joe Hart moment, saying;

“At the end of one of the games, they wanted to interview me, and I said I wasn’t comfortable enough with the language. So Joe came and told them he’d do it for me.

“He’s a good friend of mine, a player who’s made an amazing career with lots of titles. He’s a role model to me.”

It’s great to see Abada look up to Joe Hart. If he maintains his goal scoring form, with his assists, there’s no doubting Abada could win many titles as Joe Hart has.

It also says a lot about Joe Hart. He’s aware of his teammates, has their backs, and is willing to support them.

With such an extensive rebuild taking place, an experienced head like Joe Hart is essential.
