Aberdeen have interjected themselves into Celtic vs Bodo/Glimt this week by making an ambitious play to sign Bodo manager Kjetil Knutsen.

Stephen Glass was sacked last week after a dismal 11 month run with the Pittodrie side and they’re now looking at their options and who is going to take the club forwards.

As Bodo land in Glasgow, Aberdeen were looking to capture Knutsen’s attention ahead of the UEFA Conference match.

Celtic and the Norwegian club are playing for a spot in the final 16 of the brand new UEFA competition with the first leg being played at Celtic Park on Thursday evening.

The Bodo manager has reportedly knocked back Aberdeen’s advances and is concentrating on his future with Bodo.

Ange Postecoglou has got a team together that can make it very difficult for the visiting side. However, Bodo own a 6-1 win over Roma this season. The Bhoys will have to make sure the back door is shut while they attack the Norwegian side.
