Aberdeen boss, Derek McInnes has fired Celtic a warning, stating there is ‘still more to come’ from his side, which the hoops also faced just last weekend.

As reported by the Glasgow Times, McInnes spoke about last weeks draw at Pittodrie and claimed it was a good point for his Aberdeen side to take away from the game but he believes it could have been more and is hoping to see that, come Sunday at Hampden for the Scottish Cup semi-final.

“If you are drawing, a lot of the time a point can be seen as a good result. And I never felt that anybody in my team, my staff, our club felt that it was a great result for us. I think it was important how we finished the game. From a winning possession, if you lose it, it always impacts more.

“But I do think from looking like the game was being played out, we found a way to get back in and we actually created two or three good chances after we lost the third goal. The response of the team was good, it was no more than we deserved. I thought we were very good in the game, competitive throughout, we were smart with our work.

“It was a good point but it could have been more, and I still think there is more to come from the team and hopefully that can play out on Sunday.”

Last weekends game was a disappointing one, having gone behind twice, we managed to pull it back late on, before dropping the two points in conceding a last-minute penalty.

This weekend will hopefully be a little bit different, with what is at stake at the national stadium, but we can’t afford to underestimate them, as they are clearly capable of taking something from the game.

After Thursday night’s result and performance, hopefully, that allows us to gain a bit of momentum and confidence once again to take another cup victory away from Hampden Park.

  1. Gosh, I’m p00ing my pants with worry, Aberdeen boss warns Celtic!!! you read it here first!
Having just watched Celtis roll over the fakers from Aberdeen, surely McInnes will quit the Dons. What a shower, from manager to players, they are a shambles.
Ferguson, a waste of space., falls over squealing like a pig, Cosgrove just a knuckle dragger with footie boots, a useless entity, Hedges runs about like an escapee from the looney bin, crying he was fouled. In fact, the whole team of Aberdeen players is a shower of winghers squealing, crying, and jumping up and down like diddies! The only thing professional about Aberdeen is the owner.
