Celtic fans have been having their say after Livingston have chosen to charge them £20 to watch the SPFL clash between the two sides on Sunday.

The game will not be aired on Sky Sports and is open for Livingston to sell the game on PPV. Celtic fans aren’t strangers to this practice and have paid out between £10-£15 to watch some non-televised games last season.

However, £20 appears to be a ridiculous cash grab that could backfire for Livingston.

Instead of charging a more reasonable price, the Lothian club have opted to hike up the fee in order to gauge the Celtic support.

There’s a chance fans who would have paid £10 or even £15 just look elsewhere to try and watch the game.

The supporters below weren’t impressed.

The game is pivotal for Celtic and fans will be keen to see how Ange and his team get on away from home. The Celtic manager has still to win his first away SPFL game and the team haven’t won an away domestic tie since February.

It’s a shame Livingston have chosen this price point when they’ve made a lot of money from Celtic fans already through ticket sales. we should never begrudge clubs of trying to make money but this does fly in the face of fairness for supporters.

  1. I don’t get this. If Celtic TV aren’t allowed to show the spfl games live to subscribers in the UK and Ireland, how is it possible for Livingston to do so?
Surely if Livi can stream a live ppv spfl game within the UK, Celtic must have the same license to do likewise.
