There has been a media blackout surrounding Ange Postecoglou in Japan thanks to the local football authorities who are trying to control the narrative ahead of Ange’s expected departure.

The manager is in line to become Neil Lennon’s successor at Celtic Park but not before he finishes up with Yokohama Marinos who are playing Honda Fc this morning.

A fan on the ground told one of the journalists following this story that there was a round of applause as the manager made his way into the stadium — an acceptance that Ange is about to leave his role at the club.

The game kicked off at 10am our time and we could have a clearer picture by this afternoon.

Celtic fans have been battered from pillar to post with all this managerial speculation. The Hoops need leadership and an idea of what’s coming next.

There are many supporters holding off on renewing until they get the bigger picture.

Ange coming in would be a massive step and the rebuild could begin, albeit very late in the day.
