Adam Idah has this evening made a hugely intriguing post on Instagram which raises question marks over his permanent future.

The Irish striker joined Celtic on loan at the end of the winter transfer window and since, has made a monumental impact.

His goals at Fir Park, Easter Road, and Ibrox were all instrumental in the Hoops’ three-in-a-row success with his winner in Saturday’s Scottish Cup final nothing short of iconic.

The acquisition of Idah was criticised by many, but the 23-year-old came in and conducted himself with the utmost professionalism and soon became a fan favourite.

Manager Brendan Rodgers was delighted with his impact and admitted at the weekend that he’d love to sign him permanently.

Despite this and recent reports suggesting that the club would be moving to bring him in long-term, the Cork native has this evening taken to Instagram, bidding what looks to be an emotional farewell:

Idah saying ‘best of luck for the future’ as well as thanking the fans for their support suggests that he may not be returning to Celtic.

One can never say never but if this is indeed a final farewell, the attacker can look back on his spell in Glasgow with great fondness.

  1. Would certainly seem the case judging upon the words used by idah imo?
Would be actually very surprised if idah could find himself with a better offer than ourselves at this stage within his career?

  2. I wouldn’t read anything into it. He’s owned by Norwich, Celtic want him, seemingly Idah wants to sign but they are managerless after sacking David Wagner so nothing will happen until a new Norwich boss appointed and then new boss will want to assess Idahs ability. Idah cant say “hope to see u next year guys…”.

  3. He didn’t have to post anything if that was the case, doesn’t look likely but tho he done well we seen I all before his mhate Patrick Roberts was the same as in ” what a club” etc but lived for ” epl” much like the Aussie manager we had his comment was ” bucket list” when talking out Celtic ,utter bs! but living in Australia myself I knew he be off first chance he got! As they as they are sychphants of epl as are the Irish to let’s not forget . Idah won’t be back but we go get better then, it be his loss
