Celtic’s upcoming Adidas SPZL collaboration has already stirred excitement after it was teased on the big screens at Celtic Park before the Motherwell game, but Adidas may have jumped the gun.

Fans have spotted a Celtic SPZL crew sweatshirt listed on the American version of Adidas’ website, retailing at €130, £97.

The official launch isn’t scheduled until Thursday, 16 October, making this an unintentional early reveal from the German sportswear giant.

The SPZL collection, a retro-inspired streetwear, fits perfectly with how Adidas has positioned Celtic since their partnership began in 2020. The club has become a reliable showcase for limited-edition throwbacks, Originals gear, and nostalgia-heavy drops that strike a chord with the support.

This release follows hot on the heels of the Henrik Larsson-branded range, which landed just weeks ago, and a new training line that appeared not long before that. It’s been a rapid-fire run of kit drops, and Adidas clearly knows that nostalgia sells at Celtic Park.

They might notice a drop in sales though, with many fans currently talking about boycotting merchandise in protest against how the club has been run.

With the official launch just days away, fans will now be bracing for what else the SPZL range has to offer — especially after this accidental sneak peek.
