Celtic will be heading into their third season with Adidas in August and fans are already speculating about how the major sports brand will kit out the bhoys in green.

The kits and training gear have been received well on the whole since Adidas arrived on the scene. There has been some spectacular stuff that will stand the test of time long after the Hoops and Adidas have parted ways.

This season’s Hoops top was al title underwhelming and looks very similar to the Hoops worn by Ronny Deila’s Celtic team.

We could see a change in the format of the shirt for next year with Adidas already dropping some of their next season’s tops for other clubs and they are all sporting a collar.

Manchester Utd, Real Madrid, Arsenal and Ajax shirts all have different variations of the collar.

There’s only so much you can do with green and white hoops. Fans like whoever is in charge of designing the jerseys to keep it simple and never break from tradition.

Slight alterations like the gold trim we’ve seen in some seasons has been welcome but the famous jersey under Martin O’Neill when the Hoops were broken at the sides with two large white patches didn’t go over too well.

What’s been your favourite shirt of the Adidas run so far?

  1. I love this season’s home shirt, the pinstriped hoops evoking the 85-87 kit beautifully. Only thing that would have made it better would have been if Adidas had used the same collar as was on that strip, it’s not like they didn’t eventually rip it off and use it on Liverpool etc. kits.

I also wish we were back in those days, where you didn’t have to fork out £££££ for new kits every years! Money-grabbin’ bassas these days….
