Celtic are reportedly interest in Egyptian international Mohamed Magdy.

As reported by the Glasgow Live, according to the player’s agent, the Scottish Champions are interested in making a move for the 24-year old attacking midfielder and could move as soon as January.

Magdy’s agent has claimed that Neil Lennon’s side is ‘very interested’ in a move but it is thought that the Al-Ahly player would be loaned out, elsewhere in Europe straight away.

Currently, at the club, we have a lot of midfielders but you could argue that very few of them are out and out ‘attacking midfielders’ with maybe only Tom Rogic and possibly Ryan Christie coming under that bracket.

If he was to join, with him being loaned out straight away, many would make comparisons to Ukrainian winger Marian Shved who joined the club in a similar manner.

It wouldn’t be fair to write him off straight away though and who knows, we may even be able to pick ourselves up a young, up and coming talent.
