CELTIC are in the market for another centre back should Virgil van Dijk head to the English Premiership before the window closes.
One player that has been linked with Celtic for some time now is Brugge defender Brandon Mechele.
The 22-year-old is set to face Manchester United in the Champions League play-off round and much like Celtic Brugge are holding their cards close to their chest as they approach these two vital games.
However the players agent Guy Bonny has told the media that the interest from Ronny Deila is still very much there.
“I know Celtic’s interest is concrete” he said.
“But I have not yet been officially contacted by the club, I think we will know in the next few days”
