AUSSIE agent and self admitted Celtic fan, Lou Sticca has told Record Sport he IS trying to pry Scott Brown away from Celtic Park to join his revolution down under.

The agent is at the forefront of a consortium who are trying to win one of the two places which will be up for grabs in the A-League.

If the Western Melbourne franchise comes to pass, the agent will look to Scott Brown to be the talisman of a brand new club in Australia – becoming their marquee signing.

Speaking to the Record, Sticca says he doesn’t want to weaken Celtic but that hasn’t stopped him ‘asking the question’

“I probably shouldn’t say this but I’m an unabashed Celtic fan. I’ve been dealing with the club as an agent for over a decade now and with Peter Lawwell.” Said Sticca.

“So I want to be the last person ever to weaken Celtic Football Club.

“I’m not trying to steal Scott brown away from Celtic. All I’ve done is ask a question.

“Ultimately it’ll be up to Scott as to whether he wants to continue on at Celtic or look to pastures new.

“My position is very simple. I’m not trying to undermine Celtic – far from it – but if and when Scott decides to move on I want to ensure that Australia is at the forefront of his thinking.

“That’s because I believe Scott Brown in a country like Australia would be a raging success.

Scott is entering the last six months of his deal in January and would be able to talk to any admirers.

However, this seems unlikely at this point unless the thought of a move down under appeals to Brown and his young family.

The Celtic captain won’t be at the club forever but has spoken this season about continuing to play for a few years yet.

Sticca’s approach might be in vain but God loves a trier.
